  1. Power server compatibility with cloud database

    If I want to move out of on premise architecture and choose cloud, which cloud is better compatible with powerserver? currently, we use oracle on premise and would like to check if oracle cloud database is a better one?

  2. Appeon supplied PBD file build versions

    I have just been working with the PB Auto Builder which gave a very useful warning that the PBDOM220.pbd runtime build version was not the correct one for the EXE being built.

    This set me thinkng that these PBD files should be included in the Runtime installers and therefore have the different build versions pointed to by the XML file for the runtime. So if you change the XML file you will get the correct PBD build version.

    Having discovered that the PBDs are not installed by the runtime installer I then started thinking about how we get the right version for the build number. The PBD file is infact within the IDE files and is not really runtime specific and there is no way to know what build number it relates to. I know that it probably doesn't' matter but would it make sence for these files to be included in the runtime instalation rather that rolled out withthe EXE that we build?

    Thoughts please?

  3. ExportJson Method is nor case sensitive

    Hi all

    You know, JSON format is case sensitive. dw ExportJSON Method uses dw column name in PB2022 R3. If ExportJson Method use dw DbName, the problem will be resolve.

  4. Datawindow syntax for setting the expression in transparency?

    Hello,

    is there any syntax for setting the expression for the transparency of the backcolor in the detail band?

     

    I tried

    modify( " datawindow.detail.Transparency.expression =  ' if( mod( getrow(), 2 ) = 0, 100, 50 ) ' " )

    also tried

    modify( " datawindow.detail.Transparency =  ' if( mod( getrow(), 2 ) = 0, 100, 50 ) ' " )

    but nothing works. 

     

    I just want to have alternating background colors when displaying multiple rows in a grid datawindow.

     

    Any idea?

  5. PowerBuilder License Question...

    Hi

    I have Licensed PowerBuilder CloudPro. I am license  administrator for my organization. My concern is that I am not able to open multiple instances of PowerBuilder at the same time. Example I am migrating from PB2017 to PB2022 and want to have both instance open so I can verify. When I try opening it give multiple login error. If I have a licensed version, I should be able to open as many PB versions available at the same time. I have also seen the same error when I was trying to open multiple PB2022 R3 build 3356 versions. Please let me know why this restriction is there?
